Newly elected President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Abubakar Yakubu, has been arrested by the police after being involved in a fatal car accident in Surulere, Lagos.
Recall the actor had defeated his rival Rita Daniels, in a close contest to emerge president just a few days before.
Dockaysworld gathered that the crash led to the death of one person. The accident occurred on a busy stretch in Surulere, drawing immediate attention from nearby residents and emergency responders.
Investigators are still gathering evidence, and the police have not yet issued an official account of the circumstances that led to the crash.
Yakubu is currently being held at the Barracks Police Station in Surulere while officers work to establish what happened.
