Former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has revealed that his party in 2012 (ACN at the time) stood against fuel subsidy removal even though they knew it was right because of politics.

Fayemi made with his keynote address delivered at a national dialogue organised to celebrate the 60th birthday celebration of the founding National Secretary of Alliance for Democracy and Fellow, Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, Professor Udenta Udenta in Abuja.

Fayemi had been saying that the government needs to be one of Unity instead of the winner of elections getting everything.

He hinted that this was the reason the ACN now APC as an opposition party under President Goodluck Jonathan, had declined accepting the good policy of subsidy removal.
