APC Shuts Down National Office

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling political party, has temporarily closed its national secretariat, known as “Buhari House,” following the tragic death of one of its top officials.

Hon. AbdulRauf Adekunle Adeniji, the party’s Director of Administration, was kidnapped several weeks ago.

It has now been confirmed that he was killed last month by his abductors, even while they were still negotiating a ransom of ₦50 million with his family.

The kidnappers reportedly kept his death a secret during the negotiations.

In response to the news, the APC leadership announced the closure of its secretariat to allow staff members to mourn and pray for Adeniji and his family.

According to an internal memo, all party activities at the secretariat will be suspended until Monday, 14 April 2025.
