The Coronavirus pandemic in the world of Sports continues it’s disruption of Sporting activities with the premier league delaying it’s season until at least April 30th due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
The premier league held a meeting last week and all fixtures where suspended until April 4th.
However, the ongoing pandemic has lead to the further postponment of the season until April 30th meaning the season will be extended.
Also, the NFF, has announced the cessation of all forms of football activities in the countryfor the next four weeks, as a result of the global Covd-19 pandemic.
This was disclosed by the President of the Fedration Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick.
He also stated that the only football activity that will be permitted is the work of the NFF investigation committee into the death of Chineme Martins, which was inaugurated yesterday in Benin City and will submit
its report within the next 10 days.
In other news, the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development have also suspended all national and international competitions including qualification tournaments for Tokyo 2020 games.
