Following the announcement of results from 16 local governments, the electoral commission overseeing the Edo State governorship election has taken a brief recess.
The break comes as the commission awaits the results from two remaining local governments.
Collation is set to resume at 5 PM.
So far, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, holds a commanding lead, putting him in a strong position as the final results approach.
