Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to retaliate fiercely against Hamas for their recent deadly attacks, comparing the militant group to ISIS.

The four-day-old conflict has resulted in a significant loss of life, with gun battles erupting in Israeli towns and Gaza neighborhoods reduced to rubble.

According to Aljazeera, the death toll stands at 770 Palestinians who have lost their lives in Gaza, along with over 900 individuals in Israel.

In response to the devastating airstrikes, Hamas issued a warning that they would begin executing Israeli civilian captives.

Hamas militants reportedly abducted around 150 individuals, including women and children, from Israeli territory and took them back to Gaza.

They declared that any further attacks on their people without prior warning would result in the execution of one of the civilian hostages.

Reacting to the threat, Netanyahu announced plans to use “unprecedented force” that would have long-lasting consequences.

We’ve only just begun to strike Hamas,

Our actions in the coming days will leave a lasting impact on them. Hamas terrorists have shown brutality, binding, burning, and executing children. They are nothing but savages.

In the midst of ongoing hostilities, Gaza’s hospitals are grappling with a flood of casualties as the Israeli army continues its bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian health ministry, alongside the World Health Organization (WHO), has urgently called for the establishment of a humanitarian corridor to ensure the prompt entry of vital medical aid into Gaza’s overwhelmed hospitals.

Israel has also imposed a “complete siege” on Gaza, cutting off essential supplies to the 2.3 million Palestinians living there, many of whom were already in dire circumstances.

Tensions between Israel and Hamas have frequently led to conflicts in recent years, often sparked by disputes over a holy site in Jerusalem.
