The counsel to the student C.K Agu told BBC Hausa that he was arraigned in court by the police on Tuesday, November 29, where he pleaded not guilty when the charges against him were read out.

Agu said:

“We applied to the court to release the student on bail on health grounds and the fact that he will sit for the exam on 5, December.
