The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Francis Nwifuru of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the Governor of Ebonyi State.

Justice Tijani Abubakar, who delivered the lead judgment, dismissed the appeal filed by Chukwuma Odii of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), declaring it unmeritorious.

The judgment solidified Nwifuru’s mandate as the legitimate leader of Ebonyi State, ending the legal challenges that had ensued from the election petition tribunal.

Dockaysworld gathered that as the news of the Supreme Court filtered out of the country, Governor Nwifuru’s supporters outside the premises of the apex court celebrated the legal victory.
