Nigerian governor sacks aides
Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has carried out another round of changes in his administration by removing eight Special Advisers and appointing nine new aides to serve in different positions across the state.
The latest reshuffle comes just two days after the governor dismissed six commissioners as part of changes within his cabinet.
The development was made public on Friday in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Shuaibu Magaji Labaran, SAN.
According to the statement, the governor approved the appointments and removals as part of efforts to improve the performance of government and strengthen service delivery across Nasarawa State.
The Special Advisers who were relieved of their duties are Lawal Yakubu Karshi, Danlami Lawal Moroa, Haruna Kasimu Idris, Gambo Abdullahi, Muhammadu Usman Shege, Ibrahim Shekarau Dahiru, Moses Utondo and Elsie Monday.
Governor Sule also approved the appointment of nine new Special Advisers drawn from different local government areas in the state.
David Moyi Sule was named Special Adviser on Humanitarian Service to represent Obi Local Government Area, while Jafaru Ango was appointed Special Adviser on Public Works for Karu Local Government Area.
Ado Dauda was appointed Special Adviser on Social Investment to represent Kokona, while Abdullahi Angibi will serve as Special Adviser on Political Affairs for Lafia Local Government Area.
Prince Nuhu Dauda Shege was appointed Special Adviser on Rural Development to represent Toto, while Joseph Attah will oversee Information and Orientation as Special Adviser for Doma Local Government Area.
Felix Upav Saaior was appointed Special Adviser on Education to represent Obi, Peter Mbucho was named Special Adviser on Health for Akwanga, and Idris Suleiman Dansauka will serve as Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Affairs, representing Keffi Local Government Area.
The state government said the swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed Special Advisers will be announced at a later date.
