Rivers Governor, Fubara spotted in another country

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, was seen over the weekend at Frankfurt Airport, Germany.

This marks his first public appearance abroad after the political unrest that affected the state last month.

The sighting was shared by Bernard Izunna Obimma, a Nigerian traveler, who posted about the encounter on Facebook.

According to Obimma, he met Fubara in the early morning while he was on his way to London.

Obimma described Fubara as a kind and humble person, noting that during their brief walk, he took the opportunity to remind the governor of his responsibility to the people of Rivers State.

He also expressed support for Fubara, rejecting the recent actions that led to his removal and the installation of a sole administrator in his place.

Fubara’s suspension occurred in March, following a directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who dissolved the executive and legislative branches of government in the state and appointed a sole administrator.

In an Easter message released on Saturday, Governor Fubara urged the people of Rivers State to remain hopeful and united.

He reiterated his dedication to providing good governance and called for continued support for President Tinubu’s agenda, while stressing the importance of collective effort for positive change.

At the time of reporting, the purpose of Fubara’s trip to Germany and his next destination are not yet clear.
