The president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Professor Emmanuel Osodeke has said the strike will be called off in a few days.

The Union commended the House of Representatives for its intervention in the protracted crisis between university lecturers and the federal government.

The President of the academic body, Osodeke, gave the commendation during a meeting with the Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamia, and other lawmakers on Monday evening, October 10.

Professor Osodeke stated that industrial action was a normal thing across the world and should never have been allowed to get this far.
