Tinubu went to rest, plan for his tenure – President Elect’s team finally admits trip to UK amidst sickness reports


The team of the President elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has said the incoming president has travelled out of the country so he can rest and plan for his transition.

This statement was made known by Tunde Rahman from the camp of the former Lagos state Governor amidst reports that he sneaked out to get treatment.

The statement added that Tinubu’s trip was also part of his religious pilgrimage; the lesser hajj.

They called on bloggers and other news outlets to desist from spreading fake stories about his trip.

President-elect Tinubu out of the country to undertake rest, lesser hajj After a very exhaustive campaign and election season, Asíwájú Bola Tinubu, has travelled abroad to rest and plan his transition programme ahead of May 29, 2023 inauguration.
The President-elect left the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja for Europe on Tuesday night. The President-elect decided to take a break after the hectic campaign and election season to rest in Paris and London, preparatory to going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (Lesser Haji) and the Ramadan Fasting that begins Thursday. While away, the President-elect will also use the opportunity to plan his transition programme. He is expected back in the country soon. We enjoin the media to stop publishing rumours and unsubstantiated claims and to always seek clarifications from our office.
