Nollywood actor and director TC Okafor who survived the boat mishap that led to the death of Junior Pope has come out to share his story.
TC while speaking on an Instagram live narrated how the incident occurred. He stated that he had poured some Fanta into the waterbody before entering the boat.
According to him, he did this as a form of obeisance to the water spirits whom he said could be mischievous.

He stated that the accident happened because the boat driver couldn’t avoid a collision with another canoe as he had earphones on.
The boats had capsized but he was able to hold on to an anchor while also attempting to rescue one of his colleagues.
