Nigerians React as Footballer Ahmed Musa refuses handshake from Kano Gov [video]

Veteran Nigerian footballer Ahmed Musa has been spotted declining a handshake from Kano state Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

A video of Nigerian Eagles footballer Ahmed Musa rejecting a handshake from the Governor of Kano state Abba Yusuf has got Nigerians talking.

In the video seen by Dockaysworld, the football player can be seen actively avoiding the hand of the Governor while conversions with him.

The Governor on the other hand is also spotted giving up the attempt to shake the non-responsive athlete.

While some Nigerians have stated that the act is a show of respect, others pondered if he could not express respect by shaking his hands with a humble demeanor.

I would have completed the handshake while still in reverence.

AbbakarDex:

In Hausa cultural etiquette it is deemed a sign of the highest respect to be down and then refuse the elder’s handshake.
