Popular Nigerian actor Williams Uchemba, has confirmed the rising water levels of the 3rd mainland bridge lagoon in Lagos about a day after actress Kate Henshaw raised the alarm.
Williams who was taking a car ride along the bridge, made a video of the scenery in real time and confirmed that it was not a rumor as some had claimed about Kate’s alarm and that of others.
He called on Lagosians to brace up for impact as the highness of the water could not be a good thing.
Meanwhile the Lagos State Government issued fresh warnings to some areas earlier over the increased chances of more floods. The areas warned included Ikoyi, Lekki and Victoria Island and other coastal areas in Epe and Badagry where a number of prominent people and celebrities live.
The state gave the warning in a statement issued by the State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tunji Bello.
He said the latest advisory became necessary due to the high tide of the Lagos Lagoon.
Recall Dockaysworld reported that Lagos state was placed on high alert after the floods got worse with a bike rider drowning at Oko Oba, Agege recently.
Williams wrote on IG:
Yea 3rd mainland lagoon is high or is it my eyes?? S
And the Lagos State Gov said the flood is coming. This is not to scare you but get you informed and ready for anything esp if it’s coming to your side A. Stay safe.
